Today while Carrie, the kids, and I were walking, Evan decided that he would walk Carrie's dog Bear. Bear was on his leach and weighs 75 pounds or so. Beautiful dog and Evan loves him. The fact that Bear gets to come to the college while we walk is a pretty big deal to Evan.
So today we notice that Evan has untied Bear's leach and he is walking him and doing a pretty good job. Kimmie and Marley are in the NEW clubhouse (2 net goal posts pushed together at one end of the track. Hey they were there and they kids imaginations took over...) As Carrie and I come around the bend we notice that Bear is walking Evan and Evan is crying his little eyes out. Bear is walking too fast and Evan's afraid if he lets go that Bear will run away. Bear is harmless and a puppy in that big dog body of his. Carrie explained that Evan could just let go and Bear would be fine.
The tears were gone in seconds and Evan was back to walking Bear. Later he yelled, "I made Bear SIT!" Good Dog Bear!
