Strawberry

Today I did my rounds of the yard, clipping flowers to take inside or to pitch. It's a routine, I use the red wagon. I have two flat boxes from berry picking that I use. One for the fresh flowers, and one for those that aren't. I pull the wagon, I stop, I clip, I move on. Wait...what do I see? Down there under the leaves? A strawberry! Yes, our strawberry patch is in such a shady spot we get a few a week and it's gone on all summer long. The berry was perfect. I ate it and found a second one and ate that too. October.? Doesn't feel like it, yet.
