Phrases like, "I have to wait for this commercial since this is live TV," is something I never said as a kid because TiVo didn't exist. But Evan gets what live TV is and doesn't particularly care for sitting through commercials. (Why would he when we can fast forward through them in a jiffy?!)
And...Just the other day my cell phone beeped and Evan said, "Who did you get a text message from?" I told him it was Mrs. Rike and he asked, "Are you going to text her back?" Again, a different vocabulary for a different generation. And yes, I did text her back!
