Riding the 2 wheeler!!

By now you may have already heard the news...Evan is riding a 2 wheeler! It's funny how things happen when they are supposed to. Evan hasn't really shown much interest in wanting to learn to ride without training wheels...until today!

Mark came home and noticed Evan looking at Amanda's little pink bike with no training wheels. No, she can't ride it either but the bigger kids get a kick out of riding the little bikes. Mark asked Evan if he wanted to give it a try in the grass. That was just the thing to build confidence! He walked it a little, pedaled a little, walked it more and really got the hang of it without every falling. This is how our little neighbor Luke learned to ride.

Before you know it, Evan was up and down the street. On and off the driveways, up and down the curb like he'd been riding is whole life.

The only one who fell today was ME! Imagine! I was riding too, stopped to look at him and thought my foot was on the curb. Missed the curb, my Birk (shoe) fell off, I had NO footing and was on my way down. No stopping it. Nice move! All the kids were yelling, "Rhonda fell!" Evan didn't miss a beat though.

We celebrated with a trip to McDonald's for burgers and sundaes! I'll post pictures soon.
