This top picture was taken in late May, but I love it so much, I wanted to include it with the 'last day' photos. The kids had just participated in a jog-a-thon and were enjoying a much deserved frozen treat on the hill behind their school. I love that nothing but trees, and sky are all you see in the background.

On the last day we gathered as each child's name was announced an promoted to the next grade. This year, Evan's class of kindergartners were called Oak Leaves. Now he becomes a Dragonfly! (First grader.)

Evan gives a little wave after I give him his Dragonfly balloon celebrating his promotion.

Yearbooks? Are you kidding me? This stuff cracks me up! My little lefty signs away and has friends sign his shirt. His own green Oak Leaf shirt had gone missing that morning and sure enough, we found it just yesterday, behind a big piece of furniture in the family room. Figures!

Grandma and Grandpa Katz had just arrived the night before from Arizona and were able to be here on Evan's big day!

It seems like yesterday that we three gathered in the same spot at the start of the school year for the opening day picnic. We were excited about Evan being at Springwater and now, a whole school year later, we are so happy with our decision, and are once again reminded that time flies!

The Springwater celebration included a sundae buffet that every kid delighted in. A great way to wrap up the year. We are so proud of you Evan James Ross! We clapped loudly and proudly as they called your name.
