The Dam...What was once nothing more than dirt now stands a dam, some rivers and streams, and a hole in the ground that has nearly swallowed up children during recess. This is Evan's favorite place to play. A good rain during the night, means a good time at recess. There will be plenty of water. And with this, the rainest June on record in only the first 10 days of the month, provided a few last days of joy before school was out for the summer.
Somehow, I have a feeling that come August, he's going to start talking about it all over again, and he will be looking forward to the rain that is so very necessary for the success of "The Dam."
