Easter 2010

Like we do every year on the Saturday before Easter...we head off to Rivercrest Park for their fabulous Easter egg hunt. We ran into school friends Makenna and Ryder. We wanted to get Pierce in the picture, because that is who we came with, but he didn't want to be in it. What can you do? One quick smile before the horn sounded...
But once it did, they were gone. Evan's technique has certainly improved since his first egg hunt where he stopped at the first foil wrapped candy he came to, unwrapped it, and ate it while the rest of the kids scrounged for treats. Evan stayed in one place, collected what we could, and moved on. He had a stash nearly equal to trick or treating!

Evan and Daddy built a fort at the foot of Evan's bed and Evan decided to decorate it for the bunny's visit. At last minute he left two pairs of slippers out, just incase the bunny leaves things in your slippers like St. Nick does. And want do you know, the bunny did!

Evan has to check and see what is inside of each egg...

This year I am struck by how big my little boy has become. Long-legged and lean...so big next to his basket. Andes Mints...his favorite. Bubbles, chalk, puzzles, a bug catcher kid, basketball night light, electric toothbrush (for the candy), and so many other surprises tucked inside.
