Legoland California

Evan slept the hour drive to Legoland on the last full visit of our trip to CA. We'd told him to save his money for the "shopping trip" we'd be having on the last day. He'd saved his money, and waited... There was no shopping mall,...it was Legoland!

Evan woke up as we stopped to pay the attendant in the parking lot at Legoland. (Yes, $12, they get you coming and going!) He woke up and noticed the woman's name tag which was made out of Lego. "I like your name tag," Evan said from the backseat. Then he added, "Is Legoland around here?" She gave him the oddest look and we keep on going. Once he saw the huge sign, the cat was out of the bag. He knew where he was....

This was the pedal car ride and Evan loved it. We'd heard there would be a long line for this one later, so we were sure to catch it early on.

Evan, Mark and their new Lego family!

Evan was glad he'd saved his money!! He purchased a set he hadn't seen in stores. Oh, but having to wait until he got to Oregon City to build it was going to be so hard!

This just goes to show that they can make anything out of Lego!! Life size Volvo SUV. Very cool!

Evan loved this ride. No rails to ride on,...just drive. Perfect for the kid who has been driving a similar sized Jeep since he was 3.

Of all of the activites at Legoland, building the pumpkin ranked highest on Evan's list. The kid loves to build. This was one of the special evening events that kids could attend and wear their costume to.

My cute little pumpkin holding his cute little pumpkin.

Many of the pumpkins were then displayed here. It was neat to see how differently people created their pumpkins. Mine was flat. You could tell their were some experienced builders in the crowd.

How many kids can say that they got to go Trick or Treating at Legoland?! Evan can. :)

Headed back to Oregon with Chester in tow. Down the hall to the plane. Good times and memories to last...
